TWD: Classic Banana Bundt Cake

Mary of The Food Librarian chose Classic Banana Bundt Cake for this week's Tuesday's with Dorie recipe.

This was the first time in a *long* time that I've made an entire recipe AND my picky family helped devour the whole thing. Usually I'm reducing recipes as far as I can while still being able to do the math. Or, I'm parading around the neighborhood, Tupperware container in hand, trying to pawn dessert off on my unsuspecting neighbors.

There was no sharing with this humble cake. It was perfectly moist and delicious... and it stayed that way the next day and the day after that.

Mary, I thank you and my family thanks you! Excellent choice.

If you'd like to see the recipe, please check out Dorie Greenspan's book "Baking, From my Home to Yours", or stop by Mary's blog for the recipe (Mary's site is awesome, by the way).

Yep, this was a good one not to downsize, wasn't it? I normally do the same thing - either downsize, or full-size and pawn it off on coworkers :)

Mine stuck a bit too.

Did you make the lemon glaze or something different?

I agree it was perfect! We loved it so much I've had requests for encores :)

looks perfect to me! see that spot in the lower right hand corner of the blimp shot that has banana goop peeking through? that's the slice i'd go for first. :)

Did everyone's stick in that same spot? I'm blaming it on all that white sugar.
Yours look wonderful with the glaze!

I've made this a few times before and remembered how much I ate of it. Therefore, this time I had to share! Looks wonderful.

Looks perfect! I'm glad you didn't have to walk down the street with your tupperware this week (good suggestion, though, I could always use more tasters).

I loved it too. But I had to share mine, or else I would have eaten it all by myself...and mostly likely in one sitting! lol.
