TWD: How about Peppermint Bark Instead?

Hey folks, I haven't gotten to this week's Tuesday's with Dorie recipe yet, but hopefully that will happen by the end of the week. In the meantime, please stop by Flavor of Vanilla and check out Garrett's pick for this week's TWD recipe.

Rather than offer up nothing, though, I'll post a quick little recipe for Peppermint Bark.

It may be quick, but that doesn't mean it's not fantastic. The addition of Rice Krispies kicks this standard Christmas treat up a notch.

It goes from standard to completely addictive.

The recipe comes from the December 2005 edition of Everyday Food magazine, which you can find HERE (if that link doesn't work, please let me know. I've been having trouble getting to Martha Stewart recipes lately.)

OK, folks, here's to another week of TWD and happy baking!

  10. Hmmm...what a great way to use up some Rice Krispies! The boys always want it and then never want to eat it. It would be a great addition to the (yikes!) holiday trays.

  13. Yum! I had a rather traumatic peppermint bark experience last winter, this looks like it's worth giving a try.

  15. Oh my goodness, never have seen it with RC. A favorite childhood cereal. That really sounds so good. I would have never thought of it. duh I was at World Market on Saturday and they have that beautiful Old Time ribbon candy for the holidays. It would be so pretty chopped up in this recipe. Like your pretty candy looks. Thanks so much for ushering in pretty holiday thoughts.
